Council of Chemical Associations (ICCA)
The ICCA is the world-wide voice of the chemical industry, representing
chemical manufacturers and producers all over the world. ICCA promotes
and co-ordinates voluntary chemical industry initiatives, such as
Responsible Care. It is the main channel of communication between
the industry and various international organizations that are concerned
with health, environment and trade-related issues, including the
United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the World Trade Organization
(WTO) and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation & Development
(OECD).
Responsible
Care: A Global Initiative of the International Council of Chemical
Associations
Responsible Care is the chemical industry's global voluntary initiative
under which companies, through their national associations, work
together to continuously improve their health, safety and environmental
performance, and communicate with stakeholders about their products
and processes in the manufacture and supply of safe and affordable
goods that bring real benefits to society.
Global
Product Strategy of the International Council of Chemical Associations
The Global Product Strategy is designed to improve the global chemical
industry's product stewardship performance by recommending measures
to be taken by companies, working together with their chemical associations,
and in cooperation with activities of other companies and associations
along the chemical value chain.
The
Chlorophiles
The Chlorophiles are an independent, non-profit organization of
workers in the chlorine and PVC industry who react to allegations
made against their work.
Chlorine
Chemistry Foundation
The Chlorine Chemistry Foundation® works through effective partnerships
to increase sustainable access to safe drinking water in underserved
communities and areas ravaged by natural disasters. Projects employ
chlorine-based materials, including disinfectants and PVC pipe,
to help prevent diseases, improve quality of life and promote sustainable
development around the globe.
The Water
Quality and Health Council
The Water Quality and Health Council is an independent, multidisciplinary
group sponsored by the Chlorine Chemistry Division of the American
Chemistry Council. It's mission is to promote science based practices
and policies to enhance water quality and health by advising industry,
health professionals, policy makers and the public.
